Superior bedroom – Double bed

The hunters embody a heroic past time of the Hotel. « Past » because, since the creation of National Park in 1967, it is prohibited to hunt in the Col du Pourtalet area. « Heroic » because the way of hunting was the reflection of this environment, where beauty equales harshness. Is there any hunting more sporting than in the moutain ?

So the hotel became a refuge where the hunters could relax after their hard work. The quietness that it offered let also place to not very honorable practices ; but poaching is more tolerated when it goes unnoticed…

From this period, one symbol remains : the Pyrenean chamois, a « trophy » so difficult to have in the past, but which is seen today from the road in the area of the « Pont sec ». A spirit also remains : conviviality that you will appreciate on the evening, after having « ploughed though » the moutain with the same ardour as the ones who used to hunt the Pyrenean chamois.
